K9 Simon

K9 Simon is a 7 Year Old German Shepherd. He spent his first 5 years as a Seeing Eye Dog for a US Olympic Gold Medalist. He was then kindly given to Working Dogs Oregon for a career change.  The Central Point Police decided to take a chance and added him to their Victim Advocacy team in March of 2020.  K9 Simon has interacted with victims of sexual and domestic assault as well as touring the command posts and evac centers from the fires that ripped through Southern Oregon this Summer.  He has been requested by the Jackson County Family Court to appear every Thursday to interact with families.  K9 Simon has had nearly 300 victim contacts from first call all the way through the court process,  He was Working Dogs Oregons first Victim support dog.
